 The Wokforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is a referral and recruitment program that identifies students and recent graduates with disabilities who are interested in employment with the federal government and federal contractors. The WRP connects graduate students, college students and recent graduates with disabilities to employers across the nation for paid summer internships and full-time jobs. Check out www.wrp.gov to learn more.
   
Participation is open to graduate students with disabilities at all academic levels, majors, and degree programs.

Individuals who have graduated after April, 2016, are eligible to participate this year.  Veterans with disabilities are especially urged to apply.

To qualify, an eligible candidate:
  Must have a disability which makes the candidate eligible to use the Schedule A hiring authority (see link below or the explanation in the Student Resource section of the WRP website - Schedule A Checklist for Candidates)

-Fulfills the responsibilities of a care coordinator for assigned clients
-Monitor medications
-Maintain confidentiality at all times
-Supervise clients and manage all client activities
-Must be able to use excellent communication skills, set limits, and use good judgment when providing services to clients on a 1:1 basis as well as in a group setting
-Handles any crisis or emergency situation and contacts supervisor with questions or concerns (complete incident report following event)
-Responsible for completing daily/weekly checklist for client
-Demonstrates a supportive, patient and instructive approach when assisting clients
-Keep electronic records through Best Notes, read and communicate through communication log
-Establishes and maintains close collaboration with each client’s support teams, and families
-In collaboration with Program Director, develops and implements a daily program for the clients in supported living community that focuses on health & nutrition and includes celebration of Birthdays
-Responsible for scheduling of house coverage with Program Director
-Administrative assistant tasks as assigned
-Plant management tasks as assigned- will include light cleaning
-Food preparation, serving meals and clean-up
-Other duties, as assigned, might be part of the job.
Position Requirements:
-Live on-site in company provided apartment
-Providing live in availability to clients within Supported Living community 24/7 with defined time away worked out with program director
Minimum Requirements:
-2-3 years experience working in the mental health field
-6 months experience administrative duties and 6 months experience in a leadership role
-Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
-Demonstrates cultural competence and cultural responsiveness
-Ability to work well independently and under pressure
-Must be able to cope with interruptions, be flexible and a team player.
-Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past three years
-Must possess a car, valid registration & insurance (minimum $300,0000 per accident for bodily injury and/or property damage) with a business rider for driving clients and be willing to drive clients

Supervisory Status

If you would like to be a part of a federal organization dedicated to serving our nation and those who defend it, consider a career with the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG). The agency promotes integrity, accountability and improvement of critical DoD programs and operations to support mission accomplishment and to serve the public interest. The OIG offers the full range of federal benefits (see link below) and a flexible work schedule, depending on position requirements.  This position is within the Department of Defense (DoD), Office of the Inspector General (OIG), Office of the Deputy Inspector General for Administrative Investigations (DIG-AI). The incumbent serves as an Investigative Analyst in support of the DoD Hotline.

Duties. Serves as Investigative Analyst, developing/collecting, entering into an
automated database, retrieving, analyzing, consolidating and statistical
reporting of extremely sensitive and complex investigative data concerning senior officials,
whistleblower reprisal, and hotline complaints impacting the Department and
national security

. Maintains the automated time and attendance reporting system for the
office
. Prepares Requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs), reviews travel orders and
vouchers, and tracks budget expenditures
. Extracts and organizes statistical data for investigators, Senior Analysts, and the component heads within DIG-AI, and prepares reports and
oral briefings
. Utilizes MS applications creating correspondence, Power Point slides and Excel spreadsheets
. Disseminates data through automated data processing systems
. Occasional Travel Require
. Up to 10% of work time may require travel.

Qualifications (Education, Knowledge and Experience):
•Demonstrated interest in quality improvement and a desire to make U.S. healthcare better
•Bachelor’s degree and undergraduate coursework in any major or majors that reflects academic rigor, the ability to think critically, write well and effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently
•0-3 years of research or project support experience related to healthcare
•Proven ability to perform secondary research and summarize research findings in well written documents
•Knowledge of or familiarity with data analysis using Excel, SAS, STATA, SPSS or another comparable program

•Strong organizational skills

ILSA is a non-profit association of students and young lawyers dedicated to the study and promotion of international law. Generally, legal education in the U.S. and elsewhere focuses on domestic or local law. ILSA is dedicated to supplementing this traditional approach with opportunities for study, research, and career networking which concentrates on international and transnational law. 

Interns will be based in ILSA’s Washington, DC Headquarters and will be expected to commit to working 10 to 15 hours a week. Qualified applicants should be collaborative, tech-savvy, and highly detail oriented individuals. Interns will be fully integrated in ILSA’s executive office and will have hands-on experience working on various projects and aiding the office with administrative tasks. The internship will fully expose interns to the international nonprofit sector and allow them to gain valuable communication and written skills. This position is unpaid but ILSA will work with your school to arrange academic credit for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
• Administrative tasks, including database entry and organizing various program materials
• Assisting ILSA staff with daily office tasks
• Drafting and designing relevant social media content
• Contributing to the logistics and planning of ILSA’s international competitions and conferences
• Researching relevant global and domestic events
• Communicating and connecting with ILSA’s large global network
• Website management
• Contributing to the research and content of monthly newsletters

QUALIFICATIONS
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in relevant field
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms (including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)
• Team player, friendly, and a positive can-do attitude

OPD offers a hands-on experience for current undergraduate, paralegal studies, and graduate students to assist in the client-centered and team-based representation of OPD clients. This unparalleled experience allows interns to be fully incorporated into OPD’s innovative and strategic approach to aggressive litigation and comprehensive advocacy. 

The vast majority of our interns work in our district offices assisting our trial attorneys in the representation of adult and juvenile clients in criminal cases. OPD has 12 district offices spread across the State of Maryland. If you are interested in trial work you, want to request placement with one of our district offices (the specific office would depend on your geographical preferences and transportation).

Some of OPD's more specialized division also provide internship opportunities. These smaller divisions offer a unique opportunity to work closely with a smaller group of attorneys in a more highly specialized area of the law.
